Varsity soccer played Olentangy Liberty on Saturday to a 2-2 draw in a non-conference contest at home. Springboro came out clicking which found an early goal by Julian Rowlands on a nice early cross from Brady Koncal to put the Panthers up 1-0. Although there were chances throughout the first half the score remained 1-0 at halftime. The game ramped up a bit in the second half with both teams getting production and Olentangy striking first only 7' into the second half to level the match at 1-1. The Panthers found the go ahead goal with 7' left in the match on a corner kick from Rowen Arnold that found the head of Luke Crowley on the back post to put Springboro up 2-1. Only a couple minutes later, Olentangy once again found the equalizer to draw the match back to 2-2 which is where the match ended. Josh Gandee collected 4 saves on the day. Springboro moves to 5-1-1 (2-0-0 in GWOC) on the season and returns to play on Tuesday September 8th at 7:15p vs Miamisburg at Wade Field.
