Springboro soccer came away with a 2-0 victory versus Walnut Hills on Saturday afternoon at Wade Field. The Panthers were attacking from the outset of the match as the Eagles sat in for most of the match. Springboro managed to find 18 shots on Walnut Hills and was able to break down the low block with 7' left in the first half when Mack Miroshnychenko found a quick diagonal through ball to Gus Woodrum who was able to finish far post to put the Panthers up 1-0. The second half was much of the same and Springboro was able to get a free kick outside the penalty area when Julian Rowlands was fouled then Rowen Arnold scored on the ensuing restart with 3' to play. Josh Gandee completed the shutout with 4 saves on the day. Springboro improves to 7-1-1 (3-0-0 in GWOC) on the season and returns to play Tuesday, September 15th vs Northmont at Northmont HS with kickoff at 7:15p.
