In their second home game of the season, the Springboro Lady Panthers delivered a commanding performance, shutting out the Lakota East Thunderhawks in a 3-0 victory that showcased both offensive precision and defensive grit.
The scoring began early in the first half, when Morgan DeMoss connected with Alex Elliot at the 34:56 mark to put Springboro on the board. The momentum continued as Elliot then found freshman Alyssa Wright with the scoring opportunity at15:21 left in the half to extending the lead to 2-0.
In the second half, Wright struck again, capitalizing on a scramble following a corner kick to seal the win with her second goal of the night.
Goalkeeping duties were once again shared between Susan Schaff and Charlotte Fry, who combined for the clean sheet. The shutout was also a testament to the Panthers' defensive and midfield strength, with standout contributions from Ava Whitt and Keira Buckholtz helping to stifle Lakota East’s attack.
The Lady Panthers now turn their focus to their first away game of the season, set for Thursday, August 21st at 7:15 PM, when they face off against the Sycamore Aves.
