Springboro Girls Golf Shines at GWOC Championship, Places Five on First Team!
The Springboro girls golf team turned in a dominant performance at the 2025 GWOC Girls Golf Championship, placing five players among the top eight to earn first-team all-conference honors.
Junior Elise Dunkle led the way for the Panthers, finishing runner-up with a round of 76 (+4). She was followed closely by teammate Kinsley Brown, who shot a 77 (+5) to secure third place overall.
Rounding out Springboro’s strong showing were Payton Bailey in fifth at 82 (+10), Mickaela Grieshop in sixth with an 83 (+11), and Ari Lietzow with an 85 (+13), finishing seventh.
Springboro’s dominance in the standings highlighted the program’s balance and consistency, with five Panthers inside the top seven of the leaderboard.
“This was a fantastic effort by our girls,” said Springboro head coach Phil Grieshop. “They’ve worked hard all season, and today they showed they can compete with the very best.”
With five first-team selections, the Panthers cemented themselves as one of the GWOC’s premier programs heading into postseason play which starts tomorrow at Echo Hills in Piqua.
