The Panthers got back on track last week at Northmont, posting their first GWOC win of the season with a 35-7 victory over the Bolts. Springboro dominated from the opening kickoff and led 35-0 to end the 3rd.
Boro had a 3-headed monster of offensive stars last week. Max Miller had a big night, going 17-25 for 223 yards and 3 Touchdowns. His top target was Noah Bilinski who had a career night with 11 catches for 177 yards and 2 scores. The Panthers also had success on the ground as Mattias Brunicardi had another big game as he toted the rock 26 times for 132 yards and 2 TDs.
The Springboro defense continued to swarm to the ball. Evan Weinberg (4 tackles, 1 sack) and Carter Napier (5 tackles, 1 sack) led the charge for the Panthers That duo sits atop the GWOC leaderboard in sacks as Weinberg has an eye-popping 7.5 sacks in 5 games and Napier has contributed 3 sacks of his own. Linebackers Isaiah Doerman and Max Weimer are also among the team leaders in sacks and tackles for loss.
Henry Greenberg was a perfect 5 for 5 on PATs last week. He is 16 for 17 for the season while also going 2 for 2 on field goals. He is leading the GWOC in kicking points.
Springfield comes to the Boro fresh off of 2 dominant wins in GWOC play as they shutout both Miamisburg and Centerville. The Wildcats started the season 0-3 but have rebounded with 2 big wins.
