The Springboro Lady Panthers delivered a strong performance on their home turf at Ralph E. Wade Field, defeating the Northmont Thunderbolts 3-1 in a GWOC matchup.

Springboro wasted no time asserting control, with Morgan DeMoss opening the scoring at the 22:57 mark with a penalty kick. Just five minutes later, Aubrey Harris doubled the lead with a quick shot from a pass from Ava Whitt.

The Panthers continued to press, and with 4:47 remaining in the first half, a chaotic scramble off a corner kick by Ellie Ulrich led to Keira Buckholtz knocking in the third goal, giving Springboro a 3-0 advantage heading into halftime.

In the second half, Springboro’s defense held strong, stifling Northmont’s offensive efforts until the Thunderbolts managed to break through with a lone goal at the 5:35 mark. Despite the late score, the Lady Panthers maintained control and closed out the game with a solid win.

Springboro looks ahead to their next challenge on Saturday, September 20th at 12:00 noon, when they host the Oak Hill Highlanders, once again a home game at Ralph E. Wade Field.
