The Springboro Lady Panthers secured GWOC 1-0 victory on the road against the Beavercreek Beavers thanks to a strong first-half performance and a clutch goal off a set piece.
The breakthrough came with 24:06 left in the first half when Ellie Urlich delivered a perfectly placed corner kick that Baylee Cumbow headed into the net, giving Springboro the lead. That goal would prove to be the difference, as both teams battled through a scoreless second half.
Schaff recorded the shutout in goal, anchoring a resilient defensive effort that helped the Panthers secure a their win.
Next up, the Lady Panthers return home to Ralph E. Wade Field on Monday, September 29th at 7:15 PM to face the Chaminade Julienne Catholic Eagles. It’s Senior Night, so fans are encouraged to come out and celebrate the team’s graduating players on what promises to be a special evening.
