Springboro soccer had a big matchup Tuesday night for the GWOC championship with a very good Centerville team at Wade Field. The Panthers started the match very well with quality ball movement. Grant Perry had very good target play which led to the first goal when he was fouled in the penalty area. Rowen Arnold put the Panthers up 1-0 with the conversion 10' into the match. Only 1 minute later, Rowen Arnold found his second goal of the night with an incredible shot on a cross from Julian Rowlands to go up 2-0. Centerville got their footing and started getting the match into their favor mid way through the first half but Springboro rallied back as time expired in the first half. With only 3 second left in the first half, Julian Rowlands found the back of the net on a corner kick from Rowen Arnold to go up 3-0 at the break. The Panthers executed more quality play in the second half. With 25' left in the match, Rowen Arnold found his 3rd goal of the night with a penalty kick giving him his 5th hattrick on the season. Springboro capped off the scoring with a nice cross from Kane Fall to find Jacob Orlow on the back side who found the back of the net for a 5th goal and his first varsity goal. The Panther defense played disciplined and collectively earned the shutout in the match. Josh Gandee collected 5 saves in the game. HUGE thank you to the Blue Crew for the great support!! Springboro improves to 10-2-2 (6-1-0 in GWOC) on the season and returns to play on the road at Little Miami on Saturday, October 11th with a 4:00p kickoff. Congratulations to the team on earning the 2025 GWOC Men's Soccer Championship!!!
