Springboro Lady Panthers win against the Wayne Warriors 9-0

The Springboro Lady Panthers kicked off October with a home game at Wade Field, winning against the Wayne Warriors 9-0 in a GWOC matchup. All nine goals came in the first half.

The scoring began at the 33:15 mark when Morgan DeMoss found the back of the net off an assist from Keira Buckholtz. Just minutes later, Hailey Burns added her name to the scoresheet with a goal assisted by Poppy Wakefield giving Boro the 2-0 lead.

The Panthers continued to increase their lead with Buckholtz adding goal #3 around the 28-minute mark, assisted by DeMoss. Alex Elliot followed up with another goal at 27:43 thanks to a setup from Ava Whitt. Then Burns struck again near the 24-minute mark, this time assisted by Buckholtz putting the scoreboard at 5-0 in Boro’s favor.

Buckholtz struck again earning a brace at 20:56 scoring with an assist from Ellie Ulrich for goal #6. DeMoss added #7 with her goal at 19:19, assisted by Elliot. At 15:25 on the clock, the Panther’s scoring continued with #8 as Macy Gill found the back of the net with an assist from Elliot. With a minute remaining, Kylie Bell capped off the half with another goal, bringing the Panther’s lead to 9-0 in the first half.

The second half saw no additional scorning, but the Lady Panthers maintained control and composure, preserving the clean sheet and securing the win.

Springboro now turns its attention northward as they prepare to face the Dublin Coffman Shamrocks in Columbus on Saturday, October 4th at 2pm.
