In a competitive Saturday afternoon matchup, the Springboro Lady Panthers secured a 2-0 victory over the Dublin Coffman Shamrocks.

The first half saw Springboro control the majority of possessions, keeping the Shamrocks on their heels and limiting their offensive opportunities. Despite the pressure, the half ended scoreless, with both teams locked in a defensive battle.

The breakthrough came in the second half at the 21:14 mark when Hailey Burns was fouled inside the Shamrocks’ box. Morgan DeMoss stepped up to take the penalty kick and calmly kicked it home to give Springboro a 1-0 lead.

Just minutes later, the Panthers struck again. A corner kick from Ellie Ulrich found Addison Ramby, who headed the ball into the net, doubling the lead.

Springboro’s defense was impenetrable throughout the match, not allowing a single corner kick and keeping the Shamrocks off the scoreboard. Goalkeeper Susan Schaff earned the clean sheet.

With the win, the Lady Panthers turn their focus to their final GWOC game of the season — a matchup against inter-conference rival Centerville Elks. That game is set for Wednesday, October 8th at 7:15 p.m. at Centerville’s Magsig Middle School.
