Springboro soccer took to the field for the final regular season match up vs Anderson on Tuesday night and came away with a 4-3 victory. The Panthers had some quality play and created dangerous opportunities that paid off 14' into the first half when Rowen Arnold played a thru ball to Kane Fall who found the back of the net to put Springboro up 1-0. Three minutes later Rowen Arnold found his first goal of the night on a nice pass from Grant Perry to extend the lead to 2-0. Anderson found their way onto the board midway through the first half with a corner kick goal to close the gap at 2-1. A few minutes before half Anderson found the equalizer from a free kick to make it 2-2 at half. The Panthers continued the quality play in the second half and culminated in Grant Perry finding Rowen Arnold again with a great pass and the put away put Springboro up 3-2 with 22' left to play. A few minutes later, Anderson once again found the equalizer. With 17' left to play Rowen Arnold found the eventual game winner with a penalty kick to give him a hattrick on the night making that his 6th hattrick on the season. Josh Gandee collected 4 saves on the night. Springboro ends the regular season with an impressive 12-2-2 record. The Panthers begin tournament play on Tuesday, October 21st vs Fairmont with a 7:00p kickoff. Once again a huge thank you to the Blue Crew for coming out and supporting us last night!
