Springboro soccer matched up with Fairmont on Tuesday night for a district semi-final. The Panthers played well through the match which was a back and forth game with opportunities for both teams to take the victory. Fairmont got on the board early in the match to put Springboro down 0-1. In true Panther fashion, the team battled back and found the game equalizer with 21' left to play on a corner kick in which Mack Miroshnychenko found Ben Pohlabel for the put away. The match ended in regulation at 1-1 and only 31 seconds into OT Fairmont found the game winner. Josh Gandee collected 5 saves on the night. Springboro ends and incredible season at 12-3-2 (6-1-0 in GWOC) and GWOC Champions. The Blue Crew came out in big numbers to support us all season and we sincerely appreciate their support!
