Springboro Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees
Class of 2026

Zach Baecker
Zach is one of the most decorated male swimmers in Springboro History. He is the only Springboro male swimmer to ever qualify for and place in 3 State Championships. To this day, Zach holds school records in the 50,100, and 200 yard breaststroke as well as the 200 yard Individual Medley. He was the GWOC Division Swimmer of the Year in both 2015 and 2017. Zach is a 5-time State Placer as an individual at the Ohio State Swimming and Diving Championships. He went on to continue his Swimming career at the University of Cincinnati where he helped the Bearcats to American Athletic Conference Championships in 2018 and 2019.

Bridie Herman
Bridie was a key member of the Girls Soccer team that amassed a 67-10-9 record during her 4 years which included 3 District Championships, 2 Regional Finalists, 1 Regional Championship and a State Runner Up Finish. For the majority of her time, Bridie was a defensive stalwart for the Panthers. During her Senior season, she was moved to play offense where she scored 12 goals and was named GWOC National West Player of the Year and 1st Team All State. Bridie went on to play collegiately at The University of Tennessee and Liberty University where she was named 1st Team Atlantic Sun All Conference and United Soccer Coaches All Region Team as a Senior.

Tyler Kean
Tyler was a dynamic pitcher for the Panthers and helped his team to one of the most historic runs in school history. He compiled 134 strikeouts in 122 innings with a 15-5 overall record during his career. He was named 1st Team All GWOC in both 2018 and 2019 while also being honored on the All Miami Valley Baseball Coaches Association team. Tyler was the starting and winning pitcher in the District Championship vs. West Clermont, the first Division 1 District title for the Panthers. He also started in the Regional Semifinal, a win vs. Elder which eventually propelled the team to the State Final Four- a first in Springboro history. Tyler went on to pitch at The Ohio State University for 3 seasons, earning Academic All- Big Ten in 2021 and 2022.

Brandie Molnar Thomas
Brandie was a standout volleyball player for the Panthers. She was a four year Varsity player. As a Freshman, she broke the school record for both kills and aces. Amazingly, she then broke her own records in both categories in each of her three seasons. She was voted the Mid Miami League Player of the Year in 3 consecutive seasons. Brandie was named 1st Team All District as a Junior and Senior and earned All State recognition during her Senior Year. She set the school record for kills in her Junior season, and then broke her own record as a Senior. At the time of graduation, she held Springboro records for kills in a single season and in a career. Brandie played on the Youth Junior Olympic Team in 2002 and 2003 and won the National Championship in both years. She committed to The Ohio State University after her Junior season and also played at San Diego State University.

Tyler Riegle
Tyler was an outstanding wrestler during his time as a Panther. He was the first Springboro Wrestler to be a 4-time State qualifier. His 158 career varsity wins was the most ever in school history upon his graduation in 2010. That mark still ranks 5th all time in school history. Tyler was a GWOC Champion twice, a 3-time Sectional Champion, a District Champion his Senior year. He was also a 2-time State placer, taking 8th in his Junior Season and 7th as a Senior. Tyler led his team to a GWOC team Championship during his Senior season at a time when the conference had 14 teams. Tyler graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Engineering.

Austin Schoonmaker
Austin was a key member of the Springboro Boys Golf team. Interestingly enough, he did not take up the game of golf until his 8th grade year. In a short time, Austin became a tremendous golfer and key player in the Boys team’s run of 3 consecutive top-6 finishes at the State Golf Championships. On an individual level, Austin won 14 tournaments over his 3-year Varsity career including the Preseason GWOC Championship three times and the GWOC Post Season Championship during his Senior season. He was All GWOC twice and 1st Team All State during his Senior year as he finished 4th at the 2015 State Championships. Austin continued his career at Wright State University where he was an All Horizon League performer and graduated Suma Cum Laude.
