The Springboro Varsity Blue girls golf team navigated a packed three-event schedule this week, capped by standout individual scoring from senior Elise Dunkle and junior Mickaela Grieshop.

The week kicked off on Monday, Aug. 3, at Hudson’s prestigious Lady Explorer Invitational. Facing a championship-caliber statewide field, the Panthers earned a 15th-place team finish with a combined score of 383 (+95). Elise Dunkle and Mickaela Grieshop set the pace for Springboro, tying for 21st place individually after each shooting rounds of 12-over-par 84. Freshman Charlotte Dreischarf added a 102, while sophomores Emma Knost and Emma Webb posted a 113 and 120 respectively.

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Panthers traveled to the Sycamore Invitational, where Elise Dunkle delivered the team's headline performance of the week. Elise fired a 1-over 73 to secure a 5th-place individual finish in a massive field of over 100 competitors. Powered by Elise's top-5 effort and a strong supporting round from Mickaela Grieshop—who tied for 6th place with a 2-over 74—Springboro claimed 6th place as a team with a +56 score. Emma Knost turned in a 98, senior Kenzie Crum shot a 99, and Charlotte Dreischarf shot a 109.

Springboro wrapped up its action-packed week on Thursday, Aug. 6, competing in a nine-hole tri-match against Lakota East and Fenwick. The Panthers placed second overall with a team score of 173, finishing ahead of Fenwick (208) while trailing Lakota East (166). Mickaela Grieshop earned individual medalist honors for the match, posting a team-best 38. Elise Dunkle stayed right on her heels, taking third place with a 39. Emma Knost finished with a 46, followed by Emma Webb (50), Charlotte Dreischarf (51), Kenzie Crum (52), and Maci Buehler (56).

With strong top-of-the-lineup play from Elise Dunkle and Mickaela Grieshop leading the way, the Panthers look to build on their early-August momentum as regular-season play continues.
