Panther soccer traveled to defending State champion Summit Country Day for the season opener on Saturday and came away with a 0-0 draw. Springboro played with a lot of grit and determination which was needed for a very good Summit team. The Panthers and Summit had some dangerous chances in the first half but just couldn't finish. The Knights kept applying pressure in the second half but the Panther defense was up to the challenge including some great saves by Devin Boland to keep Springboro in the match. He collected 8 saves in the match. The Panthers begin the season 0-0-1 and host Lakota West for the home opener on Tuesday, August 18th at 7:15p.
