The 2026 Springboro Panthers are ready to officially begin the season tonight as they travel south to take on the Lakota East Thunderhawks. Varsity action is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

Following the graduation of a talented senior class, Springboro enters 2026 with a new-look roster — but plenty of experience and young talent ready to step into larger roles.

Leading the way is returning GWOC Player of the Year Reese Aracri, who enters her sophomore season after also earning First Team All-GWOC honors by the league coaches as a freshman.

Alongside Aracri, the Panthers have added two talented underclassmen who are expected to take on significant roles in the lineup. Sophomore hitter Mia DeToto brings another offensive option to the pins, while freshman middle Alannah Stevenson adds a young but exciting presence at the net.

While three primary roles will be filled by young players, Springboro has a strong junior class. Madison Helton and Arianna Thornton, both three-year varsity players, headline that group and bring valuable familiarity with the varsity level.

The Panthers also return experienced players across the roster, including juniors Reagan Dearth, Sofia Blackburn, Soniyah Stevenson, Emma Gates and Alex Kingery, while seniors Rahnia Ruiz, Avery Oberding and Kaylee Breving provide leadership and experience at key positions.

For Springboro, tonight's match will be the first opportunity for the Panthers to begin building their identity in 2026.
