The Springboro Panthers opened the 2026 volleyball season in impressive fashion Tuesday night, earning a four-set victory on the road over Lakota East.

Springboro received strong contributions throughout the lineup which led to a great team victory. Reese Aracri led the Panthers offensively with 9 kills while adding 4 service aces, 2 blocks, 6 digs and 6 assists in an solid all-around performance. Soniya Stevenson added 8 kills, 2 blocks and 7 digs, while Mia DeToto recorded 4 kills, 2 aces and 6 digs. Sofia Blackburn finished with 3 kills and 6 digs, and Alannah Stevenson and Arianna Thornton each contributed 3 and 2 kills, respectively. Thornton also made an impact at the net with 4 blocks.

The Panthers were also effective from the service line, led by Aracri's four aces and Emma Gates' 3 aces. Gates added 2 kills and 10 assists, while Madison Helton provided 11 assists and 11 digs.

Overall, Springboro showed strong balance and contributions from throughout the roster in its season-opening win.

The Panthers will return to action Saturday at Lebanon, with the match scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
