The Springboro Lady Panthers battled throughout the evening but could not overcome an early deficit, falling 3-1 to the Lakota West Thunderhawks.

Lakota West struck first at nine minutes into the opening half, finding the back of the net to take a 1-0 advantage. The Lady Panthers worked to keep the match within reach, and the score remained unchanged as Lakota West carried the lead into halftime.

The Thunderhawks quickly extended their advantage after the break, scoring 90 seconds into the second half to make it 2-0. Less than two minutes later Springboro answered back. Alex Elliott put the Lady Panthers on the board, finishing off a setup from Aubrey Harris to cut the deficit to 2-1. The goal shifted momentum and led to a competitive stretch as both teams traded possessions and chances across the field.

The Lady Panthers continued to push for an equalizer with multiple opportunities, however Lakota west wound up extending their lead 3-1 with a late game goal with 11 minutes remaining in the game.

Your Lady Panthers will be back in action at home on Thursday, August 20, 2026, when they return to Wade Field to host the Sycamore Aviators. Kickoff is at 7:15pm.
