Springboro opened their home campaign last night with a 2-0 win vs Lakota West. The Panthers played well throughout the match with improved ball movement and strong defensive play. The scoring started midway through the first half when James Wirsch found Julian Rowlands who shot the ball to the lower corner of the goal to put Springboro up 1-0. The Panthers added another goal only 3 minutes into the second half when Jacob Orlow found a deflected ball and decisively buried the ball in the back of the net to extend the lead to 2-0 which is where the match ended. Devin Boland collected 4 saves on the night and the second shutout of the season. Springboro improves to 1-0-1 on the season and returns to play on Saturday August 22nd at Wade Field for a 12:30p kickoff vs Moeller.
