Thursday night’s game was a battle of wills between Springboro and Sycamore that ended in a 1-1 tie in front Springboro’s home crowd at Wade Field.
Sycamore found themselves on the board first, capitalizing on a corner kick opportunity six-and-a-half minutes into the match, taking a 1-0 lead. Both teams continued to create chances throughout the first half, earning several corner kicks, but strong defensive play on both sides prevented any further scoring.
The Lady Panthers found the equalizer with 12 minutes remaining in the opening half. Aubrey Harris delivered a well-placed pass to Audrey Smith, who finished the opportunity to level the score at 1-1.
The second half mirrored the intensity of the first, with both squads generating opportunities off corner kicks and sustained attacking pressure. One of the biggest moments of the night came with 8:46 remaining in the game when the Springboro goalkeeper Charlotte Fry came up with a tremendous save off a Sycamore corner kick. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Lady Panthers return to action on Monday, August 24, 2026, when they travel to face the Mount Notre Dame Cougars. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Mount Notre Dame High School
