The Springboro Lady Panthers picked up an important GWOC conference win on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, defeating the Northmont Thunderbolts 2-0 on the road.

Springboro wasted little time setting the tone, finding the back of the net less than four minutes into the match. Alex Elliott opened the scoring when she finished off a setup from Stella Woodrum, giving the Panthers an early 1-0 advantage.

The Panthers carried that lead into halftime and continued to apply pressure throughout the second half. Their insurance goal came off a corner kick, as Sydney Jacobs delivered a well-placed ball into the box that was knocked home by Baylee Cumbow. The goal extended Springboro's lead to 2-0 and provided valuable breathing room in a hard-fought conference matchup.

Defensively, the Panthers were solid from start to finish. Goalkeeper Charlotte Fry recorded the shutout, helping secure Springboro's clean sheet.

With the win, the Lady Panthers continue to build momentum as they head into another road test. Springboro will travel to Oak Hills High School on Saturday, September 26, 2026, for a 3:00 p.m. matchup against Oak Hills.
