The Springboro Panthers delivered a strong performance Monday, sweeping Mercy McAuley in three straight sets to improve their record to 10–2. The Panthers played with great effort from the opening serve and will look to keep that momentum rolling as they hit the road tonight.

Reese Aracri spearheaded the offense with 13 kills and a .400 hitting percentage. It was a true team effort at the net, with five other Panthers fueling the attack: Soniyah Stevenson tallied 5 kills, followed by 3 each from Kaylee Breving, Arianna Thornton, and Mia DeToto, 2 from Alannah Stevenson, and 1 from Sofia Blackburn.

Emma Gates led the way at the service line with three aces, while Mia DeToto added two. Reese Aracri and Madison Helton each recorded an ace, contributing to an aggressive team serving strategy that kept Mercy McAuley off-balance all night.

Defensively, the Panthers were steady across the roster. Solid contributions from Sofia Blackburn, Mia DeToto, Reese Aracri, Soniyah Stevenson, Reagan Dearth, and Alex Kingrey kept crucial rallies alive. At the net, Arianna Thornton anchored the defense with 5 total blocks, while Kaylee Breving, Soniyah Stevenson, Reese Aracri, and Alannah Stevenson all recorded blocks to disrupt the Wolves' attack.

Emma Gates and Madison Helton handled setting duties, effectively distributing the ball and racking up assists. This balanced team effort across all six rotations ultimately produced a clean three-set victory.

Springboro looks to build on the win on the road tonight for another GWOC battle against the Springfield Wildcats. Later in the week, on Thursday, October 1st, the Panthers return home to host the Fairmont Firebirds.
