The Springboro Lady Panthers wasted little time Wednesday night, scoring three first-half goals and turning in a strong defensive performance to defeat the Beavercreek Beavers 3-0 in a Greater Western Ohio Conference matchup at Ralph E. Wade Field.
Just five minutes into the game, the Lady Panthers capitalized on a corner kick opportunity. Stella Woodrum sent a service into the box, creating a scramble in front of the net before Baylee Cumbow found the back of the goal to give Springboro a 1-0 advantage.
The Panthers doubled their lead less than a minute later. Ava Whitt delivered a pass through the middle, to Aubrey Harris who then finished the opportunity to push the lead to 2-0. Springboro continued to apply pressure throughout the first half and added its third goal at the 24-minute mark. Sydney Jacobs pass to Lily Remy who connected with the ball and scored to extend the lead to 3-0.
The Lady Panthers spent the final 40 minutes protecting their advantage, consistently disrupting Beavercreek's offensive attack and limiting quality scoring opportunities preventing the Beavers from generating momentum. Goalkeeper Charlotte Fry capped off the defensive effort by recording the shutout as Springboro secured the 3-0 conference victory.
Springboro returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, when they travel to Roger Glass Stadium to face the Chaminade Julienne Eagles. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
