The Springboro vs Miamisburg matchup at Wade field was a reschedule from September’s senior night that was cancelled due to weather. From the first whistle, Springboro controlled much of the possession and kept the Vikings on the defensive.

Springboro was the first to get on the board with a breakthrough 8:11 remaining before halftime. Lily Remy was fouled inside the Vikings’ penalty area and a penalty kick opportunity was awarded to the Lady Panthers. Alex Elliott stepped to the spot and buried the attempt, giving Springboro a 1-0 lead.

The Panthers continued to apply pressure as the second half started and was awarded a free kick opportunity right outside the box three minutes into the second half. Lily Remy once again took the kick and with power and precision delivered a ball that the goalie attempted yet failed to control and the ball found its way into the net across the goal line. A quick conversation between the officials confirmed the goal and extended Springboro's advantage to 2-0.

About midway through the 2nd half, Miamisburg had a chance of their own and found the net, putting them on the score board and cutting the deficit to 2-1.

The Vikings tried pushing for an equalizer however Springboro's defense held firm. As the clock ticked down in the last minute of the game, Macy Gill intercepted a punt and headed the ball, directing it forward to Alyssa Wright, who kicked the ball past the goalie, adding one more to the scoreboard, making the final score of the game 3-1 in Springboro’s favor.

A quick shout out to Springboro’s three seniors, Baylee Cumbow, Macy Gill, and Sydney Jacobs. The trio has played a part in the Lady Panthers program over the last four years helping build the culture and competitive standard that has kept Springboro among the conference's top teams. Thank you ladies for helping to continue to set the Springboro standard.

Springboro returns to Wade Field on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, at 7:15 p.m., when the Lady Panthers host GWOC rival Centerville. With the conference championship on the line, the winner will claim the GWOC crown in what promises to be a highly anticipated showdown between two of the league's top programs.
