The Springboro Lady Panthers traveled to face the Fairmont Lady Firebirds on a rainy and storm-filled Wednesday evening, but Mother Nature ultimately had the final say as the match was cut short and ended in a 0-0 draw.

Despite challenging weather conditions throughout the evening, Springboro controlled much of the play during the first half. The Lady Panthers maintained possession for long stretches and created several quality scoring opportunities. However, they were unable to find the back of the net as Fairmont's defense held firm

The weather became increasingly threatening following halftime. Just five minutes into the second half, officials deemed conditions unsafe due to the approaching storms and suspended play. With enough of the match completed to count as an official result, the game was called and entered into the record books as a 0-0 tie.

Springboro will return home this Saturday, September 12, 2026 when they host Olentangy Orange in an important non-conference matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
