Springboro soccer traveled to Springfield Tuesday night to come away with a 4-0 victory to begin GWOC play. The Panthers got on the board early with a corner kick service from Gus Woodrum to find Jacob Orlow to put Springboro up 1-0. Midway through the first half, Charlie Detmer played a nice diagonal ball to Ryker Toth who first time volleyed the ball into the net to put the Panthers up 2-0 which is where the first half ended. Midway through the second half Emmett Lockhart found a misplayed ball by the Wildcat goalkeeper and tucked it away to go up 3-0. With less than a minute to go in the game, Chase Cyran found Gus Woodrum who dribbled to finished a 1v1 with the goalkeeper to cap off the game at 4-0. Declan Batner collected 1 save on the night along with the shutout. Springboro impoves to 2-3-1 on the season and begins GWOC play at 1-0-0. The Panthers return to action on the road vs Olentangy Liberty on Saturday, Sept 5th at 3:30p.
