The Springboro Panthers varsity volleyball team continued its impressive start to the 2026 season Tuesday night, earning a three-set victory over the Springfield Wildcats to open GWOC conference play.
With the win, the Panthers improve to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in GWOC play.
Springboro once again put pressure on its opponent from the service line, recording 16 service aces in the three-set match. Mia DeToto led the way with four aces, while Reagan Dearth added three.
The Panthers also received another balanced offensive performance. Soniya Stevenson had 8 kills, while Reese Aracri and Arianna Thornton each finished with 7. Mia DeToto added 6 kills on the night.
At the net, Alannah Stevenson recorded a team-high 5 total blocks, while Arianna Thornton added 4 and Mia DeToto contributed 2. Behind the offense, setters Emma Gates (18) and Madison Helton (10) combined for 28 assists, helping keep the Panthers' attack moving throughout the match.
The Panthers have now opened the season with four consecutive victories and have quickly established themselves as a team capable of making an impact in conference play.
